Everyone wants to be rich. I have never spoken to someone who said, “I just want to be poor.” We all have an idea of how much money we would like to have and comparatively to the rest of the world it would be considered a lot. There are some that say that they just need enough to get by but deep down everyone wants more. It is part of who we are as humans, always wanting more than we have or something that someone else has. Truth be told, this desire causes great friction not only in the world but also within us. At some point we have to realize how much we do have in the things that matter most. And while we may struggle in one area there is another we are doing just fine in. We need to understand that to be rich is for us to come to a place of contentment, temporally speaking. To be content with life. It doesn’t mean we stop achieving things, it means we place a lesser value on those things seeing that we “brought nothing into this world, and we cannot take anything out of the world.” 1 Timothy 6:5-7
